Programmes and Initiatives
Where Change Begins. Where Cities Transform.
Apnalaya’s programmes build community leadership, expand opportunities, and create lasting change—with people, not for them.
Creating lasting change by working with—not for—communities.
What We Do
Reaching the Last Mile. Empowering Communities.
We believe that an inclusive and equitable city begins with strong, self-reliant communities.
Our model of Integrated Community Development addresses the interconnected dimensions of urban deprivation—health, education, livelihood and financial inclusion, civic entitlements, and essential infrastructure.
Where We Do It
We go where no one does—into scarcity, fueled by resilience.
How we do it
Urban poverty is multi-dimensional.
Health, education, livelihoods, and rights are interconnected—and must be addressed together for resilient communities.
Apnalaya’s Integrated Community Development model centers the entire community, so families don’t just survive, they thrive.

Our Programmes
Improving Health & Well-being
No one should have to choose between survival and health.
A single health emergency can push a family deeper into poverty.
We bring trusted health care closer to home by training community members as health champions and building strong local support networks.
Improving Education & Economic Well-being
Children & Adolescents (10-18)
With life skills, mentorship, and academic support, we help them stay in school and take charge of their future.
Youth (15-25)
Our E3 Programme builds career readiness, digital skills, and leadership—paving the way for dignified livelihoods.
Women
Through self-help groups, vocational training, and childcare centres, women earn, access their rights, and lead change in their communities.
Improving Standard of Living
Dignity begins with being seen, heard, and counted.
We equip communities to access services, secure their rights, and work with local systems—driving change from within.
